Welcome to Kayak Fishing Hooked, a website dedicated to catching fish from kayaks.
This website is about kayak fishing adventures in the Pacific Northwest. The primary focus is in Washington state however there are media and reports from Alaska in fresh as well as salt water environments.
Some of the different species included for kayak fishing reports, tips and techniques are King Salmon aka Chinook, Coho, Chum, Sockeye and Pink salmon, lingcod, rockfish, cabezon, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, cutthroat trout, lake trout, perch, rainbow trout, steelhead, walleye, and kokanee.
Additionally there will be blog postings, YouTube videos and photos regarding kayak camping and fishing at many locations. Some example locations are Prince of Wales Island, Cape Flattery, Westport, Destruction Island, Potholes Reservoir, Lake Washington, Omak Lake, Cle Elum Reservoir, Banks Lake, Lake Roosevelt ,Columbia River, Cowlitz River, Hoh River, Sol Duc River, Wenatchee River and other bodies of water where a kayak fits.
From time to time there may also be product reviews and rigging ideas shared on this site which would improve experience on the water. This includes leader setup, lure selection, fishing depth, speed, camping equipment, tactics, fish finders, other electronics, demonstrations, kayak selection, paddle selection, dry suits, fishing rods and reels, and just about anything related to catching fish from a kayak.
